The big night arrived in a flash - or so it seemed to me. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was in my hands within the very hour of its release. I really have to thank Spritopias for not letting me be a slacker and reminding me that I better order my copy upon my arrival back from New Orleans. I got my order in just under the wire - about 11:57 AM on Friday morning. I just figured - why miss the fun of the last Harry Potter book party to be had. I've missed all the others so I suppose it's about time for me to put in an appearance. I always favor being fashionably late.
Furthermore, Spritopias insisted that if I were really wise, I would dress up as well and really give it my all. I love to dress up and eventually succeeded in finding where I had stuffed my black graduation gown. Now I was cooking. I felt fit for Hogwarts and headed out bravely to the local Barnes & Nobles for the festivities. It was a wonderful mix of wizard and muggle and some others that were not immediately classifiable to my untrained eye. I got my picture taken with Harry, got a Harry temporary tattoo, and enjoyed the sights and sounds to be had in such an expectant crowd of Harry Potter fans. I soon discerned that my coffee habit could be fed along with my Harry Potter addiction. I was glad to see that standing a Starbuck's line could be integrated into this adventure.

What was it like in this crowded bookstore at about midnight? Watch the video and see for yourself. To Harry Potter fans everywhere - let the reading begin!
